Description |
New York Public Radio (WNYC & WQXR) has an immediate need for experienced contract recruiters to work with Human Resources team. The successful candidate will have strong interest and experience in recruiting for all levels in a mission-driven organization environment. Recruitment experience in a fast-paced journalism or other media environment and with web/mobile platforms, a plus.

| Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a strong recruitment/staffing background.
-Experience must demonstrate proven track record of conducting effective and timely searches, using creative sourcing methods.
-Thorough working knowledge of employment laws related to hiring
-Excellent oral, written, and follow-up communication skills a must
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-pace, creative environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills a must
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Ability to start immediately

Requirements |

Responsibilities:
-Strong skill set in requisition management, status reports, and effective communication with hiring managers and candidates
-Manage the recruitment process for assigned positions: act as business partner to hiring manager during the recruitment cycle
-Assist with drafting job descriptions and job postings
-Conduct passive and active sourcing. screen and interview candidates. refer qualified candidates to hiring managers for next tier of interviewing process
-Maintain weekly staffing report
-Perform reference checks
-Communicate offers to proposed hires
