The Human Resources Association of New York, exists to promote quality human resource practice among local industries, businesses, educational institutions, and governmental agencies; and to provide leadership to workforce development efforts in the five boroughs of NY City. We bring together leading practitioners to provide education, networking and discussion of human resource topics; and to identify best practices for all aspects of human resource and industrial relations work.

Our membership dues are $95 and our membership runs on the calendar year (January - December). We offer a discounted rate of $50 from June - September (provides membership until December 31st). If you join from October - December you receive membership benefits until the following December. HR/NY is a 100% chapter of SHRM and we require our members to also be members of SHRM. If you are already a member of SHRM please indicate your membership ID on your application. If you are not a member of SHRM you can join SHRM through HR/NY for a discounted fee of $195.00.


SHRM & HR/NY memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. SHRM and HR/NY annual dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes but may be deducted as ordinary and necessary business expenses except that, under IRC section 162(e), 7.5% of the SHRM annual dues are not deductible.
