HR-PRO (Providing Resources to Organizations) provides opportunities for HR/NY members to volunteer their time and expertise to assist New York City social service agencies with their HR needs. In partnership with the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA), the committee identifies assignments and then matches the "volunteer consultants" with the appropriate assignments. The committee also works with the HR/NY SIGs, e.g., Benefits, Staffing, to identify volunteer speakers to participate in workshops for FPWA members that cover the range of HR topics. For its efforts, the committee received in 2010 the FPWA Keystone Award for service to the NYC social services community. As we expand our program we welcome HR/NY members' ideas and participation.
