Breiger
Award
The Breiger Award is named after Lazarus Breiger one of the founding fathers of
the Association more than 50 years ago.
Each year the Human Resources Association of New York selects an individual to
receive the Lazarus Breiger Award, which recognizes an HR/NY member who has
made a substantial contribution to the growth and enhancement of the
Association. The nominee must be a member of the Association for at least five
years. The award normally reflects a specific contribution made during the
current program year. The award is be presented at the June monthly meeting.
All members are encouraged to submit a nomination by noting the individual's
name, affiliation, telephone number and the reason for the nomination. The
Award Committee will verify the nominee's chapter membership.
Past recipients have been recognized for their efforts in the creation of our
web site, innovative programming, upgrading and content of the newsletter,
professional and career guidance to members and approaches to attracting new
members.
