Mentoring Program
Wouldn't it be nice to develop a professional relationship with an experienced
HR practitioner? Each year, the HRNY Mentoring Program matches a number of
select student members with Human Resources professionals. The program is
designed to match students and mentors based on job interests, and can
accommodate a wide variety of schedules.
Requirements for the Program: Academic Year 2007-2008
Students:
To apply for this program, you must meet the following requirements:

Be a student enrolled in an accredited program for the academic year 2007-2008
that leads to a degree (BA/BS, MA/MS, Etc.) in HR or a directly related field
(e.g., Industrial & Labor Relations, Organization Development, Change
Management). Full- and part-time students are accepted.

Be a member (student or professional) of HR/NY.

Mentors: To ensure a consistent experience for students, we have set very
simple requirements that we ask you to meet. For the program, we ask that you:

Give your student at least 1 hour per month to the mentoring relationship (more
is preferred) for the time period of October - June of the current academic
year.

Work in Human Resources (any function) or a directly related
profession (e.g., Organizational Development, HR Consultant, etc.)

Be a professional member of HR/NY.
